Balance Product Development, Inc. is a product design and development firm located outside of Cleveland, OH. Our core team of professionals has a combined 60+ years of experience in all aspects of product development from both corporate and consultant environments.

Balance Product Development, Inc. was founded in 2004 by industrial design professional René Polin with the philosophy that product design should be both inspired and responsible. By 'inspired,' the final product should appeal to consumers on an emotional and subconscious aesthetic level. By 'responsible,' the final product should be manufacturable and cost-effective. Balance creates innovative product solutions that deliver on brand promise, exceed end-user expectations, and achieve business objectives.

Since its founding, Balance has grown to include design professionals with both corporate and consulting business experience. Individually and together, we have created successful products for some of the most recognized consumer brands. Our designers and designs have won awards from The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, The International Housewares Association, and IDSA among others.

Balance recently became certified by the National Minority Supplier Development Council, one of the country's leading business membership organizations.

Do Good.  Make a difference. Take action.

At Balance we endeavor to develop products and systems that contribute to the greater good.  However, our focus goes beyond the traditional business of design and into our communities and our world.

Balance is a member of the Entrepreneurs for Sustainability ‘E4S’ network and has joined ZeroWasteNEO with a ‘zero waste by 2019’ goal. Our office reuses and recycles as well as encourages 2-wheeled commuting (whether it is bicycle or powered…).

We contribute our time, treasure, and talent to multiple charitable, educational, and non-profit organizations including: The Special Olympics, RePlay 4 Kids, The Chagrin Foundation for Arts & Culture, and The Valley Art Center.

We also support the St. Ignatius High School Robotics Club in its annual effort to design and develop a working robot to compete in the First Robotics Competition.

Our donations continue to help causes such as ALS research, Developmental Disabilities, and Children’s Cancer Research.
